My Name is Crystal 

also known as Detroit Dog Mom on Facebook.

I have been raising dogs since my kids were toddlers. Not knowing much in the beginning, but I did my best. So through a lot of trial and error I have learned so much about dogs what to do and what not do do on so many different topics, and I will be sharing my experiences, fun stories, resources,  tips, and any and everything I know and love about dogs in Crystal's Dog Blog! 

I don't know everything, and I am no professional. But my love for dogs, and passion for helping and caring for dogs has grown so much over the years that I wanted to start this dog blog as a journal and a one stop shop of my life as a dog mom. I hope I can help any other dog lovers find information, or give advice about anything needed regarding your furry friends that you love and adore so much that has brought you here to Crystal's Dog Blog. I will be sharing any and all information, resources, homemade dog treat recipes, and shopping for your dog or new puppy recommendations that will help you be the BEST person for your furry doggy friend.

 

My dogs are just like my children to me. They get on my nerves often, they wake me up when they need something, and they depend on me to know when something is wrong. I've been taking care of most of my dogs since they were puppies, I've saved some, I've lost some, I've gained some new dogs. I've had dogs run away I've had dogs stole from me. My dog life stories have continued to grow and there is never a dull moment in my dog mom life. I have 7 dogs right now, and it took me years before I really grew this unconditional love for dogs. I have this passion to just want help dogs, learn as much as I can about dogs, and care for them like they are my biological children. I can't help it I just want to save all the dogs. My life is a little crazy, and raising this many dogs is not cheap,  but I find more value having them in my life spiritually and that is most important to me. 

My dogs are family, no matter the breed, or the size they are all very special to me and hold a special place in my heart. You might think I'm a little bit crazy but, I don't care. Crazy to me is just the misunderstood...  I love learning from them, helping them and trying to figure out how I can communicate with them. I give them love and affection and they reward me with the same in return. I have to admit that the love and loyalty you get from a dog is unconditional and forever. I am just learning as I go to be honest, BUT I will share everything I learn as I go in Crystal's Dog Blog.
